Better Decisions Require More Than Better Analysis.

CFA Charterholder | MBA | 30+ Years in Professional Investment Management | Bestselling Author

For more than three decades, I've worked in an environment where making decisions under uncertainty isn't an occasional challenge. It's part of the job.

As a professional investor, I've spent my career evaluating competing information, questioning assumptions, assessing risks, and making consequential decisions without ever having all the answers.

I've learned that good decisions require discipline, perspective, and the ability to separate meaningful signals from overwhelming amounts of noise.

But I've also learned something that changed how I think about decision-making:

Some of the hardest decisions in life can't be solved by thinking harder.

And that's why I created the Decision Clarity Reset.

When More Information Stops Being the Answer

Most of us have been taught that making better decisions means gathering more information, weighing the pros and cons, and choosing the most logical option.

And much of the time, that works.

But what happens when you've done all the research, considered every alternative, talked to everyone you trust, and still can't decide?

Or worse, you finally make a decision, only to begin second-guessing yourself almost immediately?

I've come to recognize that these situations often aren't caused by a lack of intelligence, experience, or information.

They're caused by something less obvious.

Fear of making the wrong choice. Conflicting priorities. Expectations from other people. Old assumptions about what's possible. Or the uncomfortable reality that some decisions involve uncertainty we simply can't eliminate.

When all those competing influences get mixed together, even highly capable people can lose confidence in their own judgment.

The solution isn't necessarily more analysis. It's learning to recognize what's interfering with your ability to decide.

A Different Approach to Decision Clarity

My approach brings together two perspectives that are rarely combined.

The first comes from more than 30 years of professional investment management, where analytical rigor, evidence, and disciplined judgment are essential.

The second comes from years of exploring human awareness, perception, and the ways our internal experiences influence how we interpret the world around us.

Together, they form the foundation of my work.

I don't believe every important decision can be reduced to a spreadsheet. But I also don't believe we should abandon logic in favor of intuition.

We need both.

We need to examine the facts without becoming overwhelmed by them.

We need to recognize the difference between legitimate risks and imagined fears.

We need to understand what matters most to us, rather than automatically following other people's expectations.

And we need to become comfortable making decisions without demanding perfect certainty.

That's what the Decision Clarity Reset is designed to help people practice.

The Clarity Reset: From Overthinking to Deliberate Action

I developed the C.L.A.R.I.T.Y. framework to help people approach difficult decisions through a structured, repeatable process.

Rather than offering advice about what you should do, my role is to help you recognize what's influencing your thinking, understand what matters most, and develop greater confidence in your own judgment.

The process helps you:

  • Quiet the mental noise that makes decisions feel overwhelming.

  • Identify the fears, assumptions, and competing priorities keeping you stuck.

  • Distinguish meaningful information from distractions.

  • Make deliberate decisions aligned with your values and circumstances.

  • Take action without waiting for absolute certainty.

The goal isn't to eliminate uncertainty or guarantee that every decision will turn out exactly as you hope.

It's to develop a more reliable way of making decisions you can trust yourself to act on.

Who I Work With

I work primarily with accomplished professionals, executives, entrepreneurs, and people navigating important life transitions.

People who are accustomed to being capable, responsible, and decisive.

But who may now find themselves facing a career change, business decision, relationship question, financial crossroads, or personal transition that doesn't have an obvious answer.

Many have already spent considerable time thinking about their situation.

They don't need someone to tell them to make another list of pros and cons.

They need a way to step outside the endless loop of analysis, doubt, and reconsideration.

That's where our work begins.

You Don't Need to Have All the Answers to Move Forward

If you're facing an important decision and finding yourself going in circles, the first step isn't necessarily making the decision.

It's understanding what's making it so difficult.

That's why I created the Decision Clarity Audit, a free, approximately three-minute assessment designed to help you identify the patterns that may be interfering with your judgment.

Free assessment. Approximately three minutes. Personalized results by email.
